Piggy Bank
Instructions
This is a great little piggy bank idea made from a used laundry detergent bottle. Ask your parent or teacher for help on certain steps of this project. Have Fun! Scroll to the bottom of the page for a photo diary on making the piggy bank.

- Rinse out an empty laundry detergent bottle.
- Get your parent or teacher to cut a whole near the handle roughly 1.5 inches by 0.5 inches.
- Poke a hole in the bottom of the bottle for the tail.
- Paint the entire bottle pink. Let stand for 1 hour or until paint is dry.
- Paint 4 bottle caps pink for the feet. Let dry
- Paint 2 bottle caps white for the eyes. Let dry
- Colour eyes with black marker for the pupils
- Paint the 2 boxboard ears pink. Let dry
- Begin glueing ears, feet and eyes to the bottle. Let dry for at least half of an hour.
- Insert the tail.
- Colour 2 nostrils with a black marker on the nose
- You’re finished! Start saving your money!

- Pink pipe cleaner
- 6 water bottle caps
- 1 paper towel or toilet paper tube
- Pink paint
- White paint
- Black marker
- Glue gun or glue stick
