Recycling!

Recycling

So why is recycling so important? Recycling does many things. Firstly, by recycling materials we're using less raw materials that come from the Earth to produce new materials. Here's a quick list of what certain material is made from:

Paper comes from Trees
Plastic comes from Oil
Aluminum/Tin comes from Metal

All three resources need to be harvested or mined to get the materials, which can have huge environmental impacts on the Earth. Trees can be replanted, but did you know that oil and metal is non-renewable. By recycling, we don't need to harvest or mine as much as we would have if we sent all this material to the landfill.
Recycled material also uses less energy to produce a finished product than raw materials use.
